I like big eel rice bowl
My husband ordered finely chopped eel rice bowl.
The cucumber salad comes out right away, and it's refreshing and savory whets up your appetite a little.
Soft eel, not too salty or too sweet, just right!!! fit source
Clear clam soup
It's perfect
You can use the restroom in Jongno with a printed QR code. So it is well maintained. qr code paper is given at the store
This is really delicious hitsumabushi.
The great thing about this restaurant is that the other dishes are also delicious.
Even though it was delicious, the attitude of the woman at the front desk was so bad that it was sad.
I don't make eye contact or reply. I don't ask for kindness, but this kind of response makes the name of a famous restaurant come true.
Listed in Michelin after only 25 years of establishment☆
``Unafuji'' I've always wanted to go to
A famous restaurant in Nagoya where the wait time is 3 hours.
We are particular about the quality of eel, and each eel is over 330g.
We use only the ultra-rare "phantom blue eel".
It seems that only about 1 in 20 fish can be caught!

Visited around lunchtime on Sunday. I went without a reservation and waited about 15 minutes. The staff are friendly. If you ask for a Korean menu, they will bring it to you. I ordered a set menu and ordered hatsumabushi as the main menu. This is the Nagoya style, famous for its eel. I liked that the charcoal scent that emanated from the entrance of the store came through well in the eel, bringing out its flavor and going well with the rice without any fishy taste. The side dishes were also delicious. Each side dish complements the fatness of the eel rice bowl. In particular, I was surprised that the taste of the steamed egg custard (chawanmushi) was better than I expected... It was good because the ingredients were plentiful and had quite a rich taste, like the steamed egg custard at a fairly expensive sushi restaurant. Is the raw fish above average? If you want to eat a variety of dishes, I recommend the set menu, but if you want to focus on the eel, the a la carte menu would be fine. Willing to visit again.
I visited the Unagi restaurant [Charcoal grilled Unafuji] located in Hibiya OKUROJI in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
There is no parking lot, so please use a nearby coin parking lot.
I parked at the Imperial Hotel.
This is my first time hearing about OKUROJI.
I also learned about a store called Unafuji for the first time.
It recently appeared in the Kanto region from Nagoya, with locations in Yurakucho and Midtown.
The outside of the store has a dignified eel restaurant feel, and the inside is very clean.
There is a line because it is a popular store.
I made a reservation in advance so I was able to get in right away.
For the menu, we chose the highly recommended hitsumabushi.
I didn't have a chance to eat it until now, so I decided to give it a try.
It takes about 10 minutes to get the rice bowl, which is very fast for eel.
It's a popular restaurant, so it might be grilled a lot.
The eel was crispy on the outside and had a good flavor.
Lately it's been all fluffy so it's refreshing.
The hitsumabushi was also very delicious, but I felt like the eel was a waste.
This is a rare store that also has green eel.
Although the price is high. .
I had a great experience starting the new year.
Next time I want to eat eel.
Hitsumabushi has a weak taste to me. Can I have extra sauce please? The prices are quite high for central Tokyo, so I don't think it's a good value for money.

Reservations are possible, so make sure to make a visit :) The lunch wait on weekdays wasn't long, about 30 minutes, but it still feels good if you make a reservation.. :)
I had finely chopped eel rice bowl, and there were three ways to eat it: eating it plain / mixing wasabi + green onion / rolling it up, but it was the most delicious when mixed with wasabi + green onion. Eels tend to have small spines, but they don't get stuck in your throat and they're very soft!
In fact, the taste of the sauce itself was a familiar sweet taste, but the rice was very tasty and the service was friendly, so I was satisfied!
It's worth making a reservation and visiting at least once :)
